1. How does my child benefit from the Annual Fund?

The Annual Fund assures that those things we value most, small class sizes, well-trained, dedicated faculty, cutting-edge technology and a rich mix of extracurricular activities for a diverse group of students, will be continued and enhanced. Every student, coach and teacher benefits from your private financial support.

2. I can’t give as much as I’d like to give this year. Should I just wait until next year?

No! Every gift of every size is important. In the 2007-2008 school year, more than 3,000 gifts ranging in size from $1 to $25,000 were needed to meet our goal. This year’s goal for the Academy is $1.85 million.

3. What is the process for Gift Securities?

Please call the Advancement Office and provide the name of Securities along with the approximate # of shares (or dollar amount of gift) and name of delivering firm. For wire transfer instructions, please call:

4. How soon will I be expected to pay my pledge?

You can pay your pledge at any time prior to May 31, 2009, which marks the end of our fiscal year. Payment may be made in installments, and reminder notices will be sent according to the donor’s instructions. However, the easiest way to pay a pledge is by visiting www.woodward.edu and making a gift online.

5. Can we make our gift in honor or memory of someone special?

With a minimum donation of $25 per person, one can honor, for example, a teacher who has made a difference in a student’s education. It is also a great way to pay tribute to a loved one. A notification letter will be mailed to that individual or their family, and their name will be listed in our Annual Donor Report.
