Memorial Day Service 2008
The annual Memorial Day Service will be in May.
Information on Lt. Tyler Brown '96
Lt. Tyler Brown '96 was killed in the line of duty in Iraq on Tuesday, September 14, 2004. He was 26 and was with his battalion 70 miles west of Baghdad. Services for Lt. Brown were Wednesday, September 22nd, and burial with full military honors took place in Arlington Cemetery in Arlington, VA, on September 28th. His brother said he died for the country he loved. While at the Academy, he was involved in many activities and was the student body president. After graduation, he attended and graduated from Georgia Tech, where he was also the president of the student body. The family has requested gifts be made to the Georgia Tech Foundation. The Academy honored Tyler's great service and sacrifice to our country at the 2005 Memorial Day service. Read more in the Spring 2005 issue of the Academy Magazine, page 43 (PDF).
