Above, the 2008 Woodward Summer Scholars, see the programs they attended...

Junior students - are you interested in attending a summer program to further your academic or artistic interest?  The Woodward/GMA Alumni Association awards a limited number of scholarships to selected eleventh grade students to help fund summer study throughout the United States and abroad.

Junior students who would like to apply for the Alumni Summer Scholars Program scholarship should submit the following:

  1. A completed Alumni Summer Scholars Cover Sheet listing your activities accomplished at Woodward Academy.
  2. A copy of the completed application for the summer program that you plan to attend.
  3. A one page typed statement as to the importance of the summer program to further your personal and educational goals.  What will this program help you accomplish?
  4. A teacher's reference for the student (this may be the same teacher reference required by the Alumni Summer Scholar Program application.)

Completed applications should be turned in to Alumni Office to Lindsey Miller by Friday February 27, 2009.  The recipients of the Alumni Summer Scholars Program scholarships will be selected by the Woodward Academy Alumni Association Board of Directors and notified by Friday, March 13, 2009.
